Melancholy

you play
your cards
close to
the vest
i feel i must
leave words
unspoken
respect you
rather than
intrude upon
your silent
self-counsel
it makes me sad
though i don’t
know why

Beautiful Rose, and respectful as well. Sometimes, folks just need to find peace and their bliss and it has nothing to do with true friendship. Love ya gal. ~Di

I have never considered myself a hero to anybody….not even myself. According to my therapist, I am my own worst enemy. I can’t believe you said this. This was one of the nicest things anybody has ever said to me. I only wish I could (or could have) lived up to those expectations. I love you Rose. I love your attitude and ethics and what you stand for….now who exactly is the hero? xo and hugs to you and mama. ~Di
